The cricketer Yuvraj Singh got engaged to British model-turned-actress
Hazel Keech. While we are happy that these two lovebirds have decided to take
the plunge, we list down few facts about Yuvi's ladylove that you probably
didn't know!
Keech was born in Essex, England to a British father and a
Mauritian mother. Her mother is a Mauritian Hindu of Bihari ancestry. She did
her schooling at Beal High School in Redbridge,
Keech became involved in various television, film and stage.
She danced in the British programme Agatha Christie's ‘Marple’. The BBC
documentary show ‘Call The Shots’ showed her working in Hindi films.
Hazel Keech is trained western and Indian classical dancer. She
enrolled in Indian dance academies in London from where she learnt all kinds of
dance forms.
Keech joined the team of the Bollywood musical ‘Bombay
Dreams’ for their London promotional tour in 2002 and sang in the choir of the
west-end musical ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ the following
year.
She was an extra in several of the Harry Potter films.
When Hazel came to India for a holiday in the year 2005, she
started receiving several modelling offers then. The then-18-year-old beauty
decided to stay back to try her luck at professional modelling.
Hazel has appeared
in several televisions ads such as that of Maruti Suzuki, Vivel and Sprite. She
has also participated in reality shows.

She danced in the Frankfinn Music Remix of the song Kahin Pe
Nigahaen in 2007. Which many of us did not notice.
Keech first appeared in Tamil movie Billa (2007). But the actress got noticed in Salman Khan-Kareena
Kapoor starrer Bodyguard.

She then appeared in few item numbers as well. She went on
to participate in popular Reality shows like Jhalak Dikhla Ja and Bigg Boss 7.
In Bigg Boss 7, she was voted out in the first week itself.
Keech was starred in a item song Aa Ante Amalapuram in the
2012 film, ‘Maximum’, which had lead starring of Sonu Sood, Naseeruddin Shah
and Vinay Pathak. Hazel also did an item number in the Punjabi film ‘Heer &
Hero’
She was the guest of honour at the Special Olympics in India
back in July 2014. The event was also sponsored by WWE.
