SBI Received ₹53000 Crores Deposit



Since Modi announced demonetisation of ₹500 & ₹1000 notes, people from every corner pouring into banks to exchange and deposit the banned notes.


The largest banking firm, State Bank of India received deposit worth Rs 53,000 crore until mid-day on Friday Nov 11, 2016. Also total worth of ₹1,500crores was exchanged by the people.

Thursday 10 Nov was busiest day which received total of ₹ 31,000crores in a single day. Same following friday till mid day received a total of ₹22,000crores of deposit.


 Banks is setting up additional counters to change cash as also allow withdrawal from bank accounts through cheque or withdrawal slips with a ceiling of Rs 10,000 in a day within an overall limit of Rs 20,000 in a week (including withdrawals from ATMs) for the first fortnight.
